Drones (sUAS)

The use of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) is regulated at the Federal and Local level. In compliance with these regulations, the Risk Management and Safety Department (RMS), in consultation with the Office of General Counsel, manages the use of sUAS's on campus. 

The University strictly prohibits the use of sUAS's on campus without specific permission.

University sUAS (drones) are insured through the University's property insurance program.  The $5,000 deductible for sUAS (drones) is the responsibility of the department that owns, leases or borrows the sUAS (drones).
