What is EHS Insight?

EHS Insight provides the University with a singular solution that allows the completion and tracking of safety assessments, inspections and non-conformities, or actions, across campus.

This includes any safety inspections related to laboratories, machine shops, buildings, departments, and other work areas. The system supports the following:

• Completion of audits, assessments and inspections and tracking of findings                                                               
• Reporting on completion status of findings                                                                                                     
• Documentation related to inspections                                                                                                                                 
• A dashboard providing several quick links to helpful reports and key metrics

Who can use EHS Insight (Roles)?

Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) Owners: These users can complete action items assigned to them.  These may or may not be associated with an audit/inspection. They can view only the tasks assigned to them.

Inspectors: These users can complete an audit/inspection, as well as submit / complete corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) for themselves.

Department Administrators: These are select personnel within divisions and can submit/edit audits/inspections, and submit / complete CAPAs on behalf of others within their organizational hierarchy.

Executive Viewers: These are members serving in executive leadership positions and can view high-level audit/inspection and CAPA data within their organizational hierarchy.
